Educational objectives | Recognizing the main processes of English morphology and word formation; analyzing clauses and sentences at the syntactic level; knowledge of basic semantic and textual relations |

Other information | The students follow two parts of each course: a theoretical part of the course concerning the linguistics and translatological analysis of the language that lasts one or two semesters; and a practical part of the course that is taught at the CLA (Centro Linguistico di Ateneo) and lasts for the whole year (both semesters)(80 hours) aimed at learning and practicing the language. The objective of this practical part of the course exercises is to achieve a level of linguistic knowledge [here specify according to the year: B2 first year undergraduate, B2 + second year undergraduate, C1 third year undergraduate; C1 + first MA, C2 second MA, in our case]. International language certification (considered valid for two years for the entrance exam) does not exempt the student from the final course exam held at the end of the annual language courses at the CLA. This examination is mandatory to access the theoretical part of the exam with your Professor in the Department. |
