-Description of the functioning of the D.M.I.
- Preparation and nursing assistance in the gynecology clinic
- Obstetrics-Gynecological history
-Instrumental Diagnostic Exams pertaining to Gynecology:
Ultrasound, Pap-test and Colposcopy, Laparoscopy, Hysteroscopy,
Menstrual cycle: Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Ovary axis
- Contraception, abortion (Law 194), miscarriage, nursing care
-Nursing assistance in Pregnancy: hygiene, evolution, controls during pregnancy
-Exams for the evaluation of fetal well-being(ultrasound, cardiotocography and color Doppler).
-Duration of pregnancy: term, pre-term and after-term delivery
- Childbirth: timing, mechanisms and pathophysiological evolutionary phenomena
-Fetal presentation, position and attitude
- Nursing assistance: secondment, postpartum and puerperium
-Spontaneous delivery, operative delivery, caesarean section, manual delivery
- Breastfeeding and pathologies of the puerperium
-Nursing assistance in the Emergencies obstetrics: ectopic pregnancy, gestosis, placenta previa, normally inserted placental abruption, postpartum atony, diabetes, eclamptic syndrome.

Educational objectives he educational objective is to give notions of assistance activity in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing. At the end of the obstetric assistance educational program, the student must demonstrate that he/she has developed a series of elements (knowledge, skills and attitudes) peculiar to the obstetric and gynecological specialist.
Prerequisites The student must have knowledge of:
-organization, health planning and general nursing ethics.
-on the embryology, anatomy and physiology of the female genital system.
In order to have a better understanding of what are the changes that occur in adolescence, pregnancy and menopause.
