- Educational objectives
- The final objective is the achievement of a linguistic competence capable of providing an autonomy that, even if minimal, allows interaction in a context where cultures are in contact.
- Prerequisites
- A good predisposition to group didactic activities in order to know the socio-cultural features of a new reality through the language.
- Teaching methods
- Face-to-face learning based on an integrated communicative approach
that takes into consideration the pragmatic and functional aspect of the
language for communication purposes through the four primary language
skills of Listening (L) Speaking (S) -Reading (R) Writing (W).

- 1. Introduction to Arabic language (Semitic Language)
- A brief history of the origins of the language and its writing
- Fundamental aspects that characterize this language from a phonetic
and graphic point of view.
2. Alphabet and spelling (divided into groups according to both sign and
pronunciation) with phonetic exercises citing words relating to greetings
and pleasantries in various social contexts.
3. Determination, In-determination through “Attanwin” or double final
vocalisation and the rules of linking with various prepositions and
particles
- Solar and lunar letters with in-depth study of the “liaison” or linking rule
between words.
- Various production of oral and written exercises to consolidate the
notions.
4. The feminine singular and its various nuances (feminine by form, by
meaning, by usage and convention)
5. Singular personal pronouns (1) and their division into isolated
pronouns and suffixed pronouns (which are nothing more than possessive
adjectives suffixed to a noun)
- Exercises consisting of devising minimal sentences using pronouns to
introduce oneself and others, thus providing a minimal discourse on one's
generalities.

7. The three-declination declension (triptota) and the rules of final
vocalisation
- The cases: nominative, accusative and genitive or (oblique case).
- Introduction to reasoning by verbal root system and the various
derivations involved (a key point for lexical enrichment).
8. Verbal phrase
- The peculiarity of the Arabic language of emphasising the verb rather
than the subject and thus the action performed rather than the person
who performs that action.
- The concordance of the verb with its subject.
- Introduction to the healthy triliteral verb and the three conjugation
tenses: past, present or (not past) and imperative.
- Exercises on the use of the triliteral verb (1st form) giving rise to the
direct or indirect object complement (accusative or oblique case).
9. How to translate the verb "to have" in Arabic
- The particles indicating the various types of material possession, kinship
and having with one's self.
- Application exercises.
10. Gender and numbers of names
- The masculine and the feminine.
- Application exercises.
11. The adjective as attribute and its concordance (in determination,
gender, number and case) with its noun
- The adjective as predicate (concept of copula) in a nominal sentence.
- Exercises consisting of constructing complete sentences made up of
subject and predicate.
- Cardinal numbers
- Cardinal numerals and the rules of concordance between numeral and
counted object.
- Language competence: to be able to express a quantity, a price,
indicate a distance, an address, a telephone number, age.
12. The state construct (1) ( annexing) and the various rules that
govern it
- The simple state construct, consisting of two nouns and the rules linking
the first and second nouns
