- The candidate must be able to perform a correct diagnostic process within the main neoplastic conditions of pet animals.
The emphasis of the oncology course is to provide sufficient clinical knowledge and skills to practice veterinary oncological surgery in small animals, and also to provide the scientific background to respond to future trends in veterinary oncology. - Prerequisites
- The candidate must have followed the course of Veterinary Surgical Clinic I
- Teaching methods
- The student will carry out practical exercises on cadavers, independently but under the supervision of the teacher, the main procedures imparted during the course. The main knowledge acquired will be those focused above all on the evaluation of the patient (medical history and signaling), the diagnostic procedure to be followed and the surgical planning to be implemented.
The main skills (ie the ability to apply the acquired knowledge) will be the acquisition by the student of practically managing cases of oncology in small animals from diagnosis to surgical therapy. - Learning verification modality
