Educational objectives Knowledge of Internal Medicine
Prerequisites Knowledge of medical semeiology
Teaching methods Face-to-face lessons.
Learning verification modality EXAM CONDUCTION METHOD: Oral test lasting approximately 30 minutes required. The topics of the questions will focus on internal medicine with particular reference to the most frequent internal pathologies encountered in the clinical setting.
TESTING OF CLINICAL SKILLS: some of the questions will focus on the interpretation of clinical cases, diagnostic and blood chemistry tests and on the therapeutic aspects of different pathologies. SKILLS ACQUIRED DURING THE INTERNSHIP: the candidate will also refer to the period spent in the internal medicine department, reporting the positive aspects but also the critical issues encountered.
METHOD OF ALLOCATION OF THE FINAL MARK: vote expressed in thirtieths based on the candidate's performance.
Extended program Dyspnea cough and hemoptysis, edema, disorders of appetite, nausea and vomiting, Diarrhea and constipation, abdominal pain and chest pain, fever and dizziness, Syncope, FUO, Gut Bleeding, poliglobulic and lymphatic diseases, Anaemia, Jaundice, Lymphatic adenopathies, splenomegaly, obesity and undernutrition, Coma. Diseases Rheumatic - SLE, Sjogren's disease, rheumatoid arthritis, Scleroderma, Systemic Vasculitis, Spondylarthropathy, Sarcoidosis, polymyalgia rheumatica and temporal arteritis. Oncology - para-Neoplastic Syndromes. Hematology - bone marrow failure (myelodysplasia, aplastic anemia) megaloblastic Anemias. Infectious - Endocarditis, Pneumonia, Tuberculosis, viral hepatitis. Cardiovascular - heart failure, pulmonary edema and Septic Shock, cardiogenic shock, peripheral artery disease. Respiratory - pulmonary embolism, ARDS. Renal - acute and chronic renal failure Gastroenterology - inflammatory bowel disease cirrhosis Endocrinology - Cushing Syndromes, Hemochromatosis and Diabetes, Dyslipidemia, Osteoporosis, Addison. More acid-base disorders, electrolyte disorders
