Educational objectives	The course aims to allow the student to know and understand the various areas of interest of the discipline. The aim is to arouse an interest in the student that goes beyond passing the final exam of the course, so as to stimulate the curiosity to delve deeper into the various topics to achieve sufficient training to be able to discriminate between the different pathological conditions during one's future activity.
Prerequisites	In-depth knowledge of human anatomy, in particular Cranio-Maxillofacial Anatomy
Teaching methods	Lectures: the topics will be presented with the aid of slides; students will be invited to discuss and explore through ideas and questions that arise during the lessons themselves.
Learning verification modality	Frontal exam lasting 15/20 minutes. Each student will have to answer two questions

Contents	The teaching aims at the medical student's knowledge of the main clinical correlations with the dental profession. In particular, he/she will be informed about the main dental pathologies with special reference to systemic implications. Another aspect examined will be orofacial pain with references to modern gnathology. Finally, systemic risk dental patients will represent a final part of the teaching with indications, pre, intra and postoperative precautions.

Educational objectives	-Knowledge of the main diseases of dental interest, from an etiologic, epidemiologic, clinical point of view and therapeutic approach -Definition and knowledge of the main causes of orofacial pain with indication of the main therapeutic strategies and differential diagnosis. -Modern gnathology, clinical and therapeutic aspects -The systemic risk patient in dentistry, relationships, precautions, risks and elements of interdisciplinarity -Knowledge of major surgical treatments in dentistry with relationships to the patient's systemic health-
Prerequisites	-Knowledge of anatomy of the orofacial district. -Principles of general pharmacology -Knowledge of the histological structures of the oral cavity
Teaching methods	Teaching will be done with lectures and direct student exercises aimed at learning practically what is described in the lectures
Learning verification modality	Verification of learning will be conducted by oral interview with the lecturer or by written test .
