Contents
The Economics and Management of Cultural Heritage and Tourism course aims to present and discuss the management models of cultural heritage from an experiential perspective.
The aim of the course is to provide the conceptual tools and managerial and marketing techniques for the governance of public and private organizations aimed at enhancing cultural heritage. Particular attention will be paid to including cultural heritage in the context of the local tourist offering through the construction of cultural tourism products in line with market expectations.

Educational objectives
At the end of the course, in addition to the basic knowledge relating to cultural heritage management models, students will acquire marketing skills aimed at building experiential platforms (e.g. cultural routes) and experiential products (e.g. events) for the tourist enhancement of the cultural heritage
Prerequisites
No economic-business expertise. The course is designed as a first element of introduction to management and marketing.

Lectures, business simulation, team works and seminars.

Optional, but strongly recommended.
Learning verification modality
Written test and a subsequent optional oral interview. The final evaluation can be integrated with a bonus deriving from the judgment on the practical activities (exercises and/or simulations) developed individually or in groups by the student during the course.
Extended program
The course is divided into two modules: 1) management and marketing of cultural heritage; 2) tourist enhancement of cultural heritage. The first module will illustrate the concepts and techniques of management and marketing of services and experiences and will show their applications in the cultural sector. In the second, an experiential model for the tourist enhancement of cultural heritage will be discussed through the case study of the "Ways" and the "Cultural Routes"
