Educational objectives | This course aims to provide advanced cultural and professional training to work with high levels of expertise in the care, management, and training processes of patients with complex internal pathologies and to organize an integrated management of this type of patient. |
Prerequisites | In order to be able to follow and understand the course it is useful that the students must have the basic knowledge of pathologic and therapeutic aspects of the main internal diseases. |
Teaching methods | Face-to-face lectures. |
Learning verification modality | Oral test regarding the subjects treated by the teacher . The oral test is generally 15 to 20 minute long and is intended to evaluate the levels of knolwdge and the critical skills of the student. |

Educational objectives | Students are expected to acquire knowledge of the functional anatomy of the central nervous system. They should therefore learn the pathophysiological mechanisms, clinical pictures, pharmacological and rehabilitation therapeutic approaches of the main diseases of the central nervous system, including: ischaemic stroke, haemorrhagic stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease. They should therefore learn the physiological basis of synaptic plasticity and its alterations in the context of major neurological diseases. Finally, students will have to acquire a critical view in reading original works on the use of rehabilitation techniques in the context of the neurological diseases treated during the course. |
