Contents | A pedagogy of speech and language, through the main European classics of children's literature, both in Italian and in English, to enhance the knowledge of grammar (phonology, morphology, syntax, lexicology, etymology) for an authentic promotion of the ability to expressive reading that allows a deep understanding of the meaning of the text. |

Educational objectives | Knowledge of the pedagogical foundations of children's literature also diachronically. Ability to apply the acquired skills both in tasks that in problems. Methodology in study and research and vocational consciousness. Understanding, making judgments, learning, communication and relational skills. |
Prerequisites | In order to understand and tackle the course, students must have general knowledge of grammar and literature, history and geography, which they should have already acquired in their school curriculum and deepened in the university one. |
Teaching methods | Interactive face-to-face lectures. |
Other information | ATTENDANCE: Students unable to attend, for health or work reasons, must promptly agree a specific study itinerary with the teacher. Use of Microsoft Teams and UniStudium. |
Learning verification modality | Final written assessment test on the topics discussed during the course and examined in-depth through recommended texts. The test, lasting 30 minutes, includes open-ended questions; it aims at assuring the level of knowledge and understanding, as well as synthesis, achieved by the student and it will verify that the student is able to communicate with method, relevancy, propriety of language and exposure, scientific references, for independent judgement, what he/she has acquired. |
