Educational objectives
Applied knowledge and understanding of the German language at Level A1; - Knowledge and understanding of the basic concepts of German linguistics (Phonetics and Phonology); - The course fosters the student's autonomy of judgement; - The course contributes to the development of communication skills, the application of one's own knowledge and the refinement of learning practices; - The course contributes to the development of the ability to understand and reflect on the complexity of the linguistic phenomena under examination; - The course contributes to the development of the ability to learn independently.

Learning verification modality
Written exam about the lexical and grammatical skills acquired during the course; oral exam about the topics treated in the course of the lessons. The written exam is preliminary for the oral one. Students with disabilities and/or with SLD who, having completed regular accreditation through SOL, have obtained access to University services, can apply for compensatory tools, dispensatory measures and inclusive technologies ensured by law, to be requested and agreed with the teacher well in advance of tests and exams. Extended program
The lessons will offer the analytic description of the most important phonetic, morphosyntactic and lexical structures of German language; they will provide a progressive acquisition of abilities such as reading, writing, speaking, listening comprehension and global communication. The course is thought for beginners and doesn't require previous language knowledge. The third module deals with the main topics of German phonetics and phonology at the segmental level (the sounds of German) and at the suprasegmental level (accent, rhythm and intonation).
