Knowledge of the contents of the Consumer Code and the provisions protecting vulnerable contractors contained in other important legislative measures, including the properties under construction. |

Educational objectives |
The aim of the course is to: - provide students with comprehensive and exhaustive knowledge of consumer protection legislation through an examination of the main interpretative issues raised by it; - enable stdents to understand the general principles underlying consumer legislation. |

Teaching methods |
The course consists of lectures on the topics covered in the programme and also includes the analysis of specific practical cases taken from case law and decisions of the AGCM (Italian Competition Authority). |
Learning verification modality |
The assessment method will consist of an oral exam aimed at ascertaining the level of knowledge achieved by the student on the contents indicated in the programme. |
Extended program |
The course illustrates EU and national legislation relating to the protection of consumers as weaker contracting parties. In particular, it will analyse contracts negotiated outside business premises and distance contracts; the rules on sales in the Civil Code and the rules on the sale of goods in the Consumer Code; the rules on properties under construction; e-commerce and consumer protection in the digital age; and organised tourism contracts. |
