- The course intends to propose challenging interpretations that place the subject at the center of its reflection as the bearer of increasingly complex and articulated educational and training needs.
In particular, the objective of the Course is to analyze and reflect on the concepts of pedagogical devices, theorized by Michel Foucault together with the idea of ¿¿subjectivation, proposed by Jacques Lacan and repositioned within the pedagogical-educational discourse, to arrive at education which practice of freedom as theorized by the American scholar bell hooks. - Reference texts

- The course aims to:
Introduce a profound reflection on the idea of ¿¿pedagogical device, subject, care and education as a practice of freedom and provide the student with adequate critical tools for understanding the centrality occupied by these aspects in the pedagogical field.
Encourage students to develop their own critical thinking capable of interpreting the complexity of the relationship between education and the present with a critical and intersectional gaze in order to develop adequate responses to contemporary educational emergencies
Provide students with the necessary tools to develop critical thinking capable of connecting the nuances inherent to the subject's training path and its relationship with the educational, social and cultural reality.
In terms of autonomy of judgement:
Understanding contemporary educational thinking;
Identify and generalize educational phenomena and processes.
Develop critical thinking and an intersectional look at contemporary educational issues
In terms of learning ability:
- Understand today's educational challenge and propose innovative perspectives in light of new pedagogical - educational orientations;
- Know how to connect the different pedagogical-educational approaches by orienting yourself among the reference literature
- Knowing how to reread and understand one's own experiences both as subjects in training and as future teachers according to a critical pedagogical - educational perspective - Prerequisites

- Oral exam lasting approximately 15 minutes, aimed at verifying the students' ability to: present the knowledge acquired during the course in a logical and critical manner, know how to critically examine contemporary educational problems, have an in-depth understanding of the concepts and the ability to personal reworking of contents.
