The course explores the relevant sports law institutes on the level of private relations as conformed by state and European regulations and by private autonomy.

Educational objectives
The aim of the course is constituted by the critical learning of the general principles and the institutes of sports law.
Prerequisites
General notions of civic education.
Teaching methods
The course aims to be an opportunity for learning, but also for comparison and discussion: it is divided into lectures and in-depth seminars as well as exercises through the study of case law. Flipped classroom.

Contents The course explores the relevant sports law institutes on the level of private relations as conformed by state and European regulations and by private autonomy meaning that the sporting phenomenon and the implications of law connected and
connectable under the statutory and social profile.
Reference texts The book is M. Di Masi (a cura di), Istituzioni di diritto sportivo per Scienze motorie e sportive. Lezioni e materiali, Torino, Giappichelli, 2023.
The teacher will also distribute study material to supplement the book.
Educational objectives Taking for granted a normal basic training, the teaching is aimed at
providing the student with skills related to the legal evaluability of
situations linked to sports activity, framed in the perspective of their
social, organizational and economic importance.

Extended program The sporting phenomenon and the legal implications; constitutional legality in sport; the ethical values ¿¿of sport; the plurality of legal systems; the sports legal system and its autonomy; the subjects and principles of the sports system; the sources of sports law and sports preliminary rulings; sports associations and federations; sports clubs and members; the employment relationship in sport; sports agents; sporting performance and the figure of the athlete; the tort system and sport; the sporting offense in its articulations; sport and civil responsibility; the criminal law relevance in sport; the economic dimension in sport; sports justice and related jurisprudence; anomalous conditions in sports performance; the fight against doping, national and international legislation; sporting events in their organization; the 2021 sports reform.
