- The course aims to provide students with knowledge of the main theories of culture and communication, particularly focusing on the issues of cultural capital, social capital and the knowledge and information society. In this context, the course also wants to bring to the students' attention the study of new social imprints emerging in communication processes and the problems of inequalities. In light of these premises, the course builds a critical path proposing an interpretation of cultural and communicative processes as a possible meeting space between different legacies and perspectives also with reference to religions. Through a series of key words, we intend to articulate a vocabulary that allows students to orient themselves in the international perspective of the recent critical debate on the issues of intercultural relations. At the end of the course, the student will know the sociological dimension of the concept of culture in reference to the different " knowledge" and will be able to bring the problem of identity and identity conflicts of global society back to the cultural dimension. Particular attention will be given to the idea of human security.

Ability to judge: critical reflection on the evolutionary dynamics of communication and their impact on society and on subjects as well as on the forms of the media system, on its function with reference to the information system and its ethical dimensions. Judgment skills that must be applied in classroom discussions with the teacher and colleagues, during exercises and in preparing for the final exam. Communication skills: students are asked to interact in the classroom through questions, exchanges with fellow students, writing short presentations during the exercise phase. Necessary and expendable skill for those who make communication their professional future. Skill that is practiced in the classroom with the organization of moments of discussion and exercises.
Learning skills: students learn to learn through communication in terms of a pragmatics of meta-communication (ability to communicate about communication). They therefore acquire skills related to abstract thinking, methodological analysis and independent judgement. Skills to be strengthened through discussion with the teacher and course colleagues.

- The aim of the course is to introduce students to the sociological understanding of cultural phenomena and
communicative. In particular, the course intends to provide - also through the viewing of visual texts - adequate information
knowledge regarding the theories, approaches, processes and contents of the different forms taken by sociology
of culture. For this reason we believe it is essential to make an excursus which, starting from the concept of
culture and relativism, and passing through the birth of modern societies and nineteenth-century metropolises, comes
up to the cultural phenomena of the last century. The aim is to arrive and center his teaching action
especially around contemporary communication processes. - Obiettivi Agenda 2030 per lo sviluppo sostenibile
