Contents
Knowledge of the content of the consumer code and the regulations protecting the weaker party contained in other important pieces of legislation, including the regulation of over-indebtedness and real estate under construction.

Educational objectives
The aim of the course is to provide students with a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of consumer law, through an analysis of the multi-layered system of sources and an applicative examination of the main interpretative issues.
Prerequisites
Appropriate knowledge gained during the course of your studies.

The course is organized in classroom lessons on the most significant and complex topics, also with reference to specific practical cases.

The evaluation method will consist of an oral test aimed at ascertaining the level of knowledge and understanding reached by the student on the theoretical and methodological contents indicated in the program

Extended program
The course illustrates the (European and national) legislation on the protection of consumer rights.
In particular, the fundamental rights of the consumer; the fight against unfair commercial practices and misleading advertising; consumer contracts and unfair terms; off-premises and distance contracts; product safety and quality and producer's liability; the regulation of sales in the civil code and the rules on the sale of consumer goods; consumer associations and access to justice; the opportunities and risks of the internet era: e-commerce, the digital consumer and the telematic contract.
In addition, the discipline of consumer over-indebtedness and that of real estate under construction.
