- The course addresses the complex and current topic of the use of technologies and services for Earth Observation, with particular attention to the most innovative aspects and strategies applicable to the benefit of agricultural enterprises. The specific objective of the course is to raise awareness, provide training, promote, and initiate the integrated use of Earth Observation and Geo-information technologies and services in the agricultural sector, along with new agronomic and environmental knowledge related to them. The use of these innovative methods and tools provides a clear added value in terms of cost reduction, product quality, production protection, environmental sustainability, and risk management both at the level of individual enterprises and at the territorial level. This is officially encouraged by the new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), which has planned the use of Copernicus data for monitoring environmental conditionality, surface areas, crop vegetation status, and for the consequent allocation of subsidies.
