Face-to-face theoretical lessons
Other information
Students with disabilities and/or DSA are invited to visit the page dedicated to the tools and measures envisaged and to agree in advance what is necessary with the teacher (https://www.unipg.it/disabilita-e -dsa)
Learning verification modality
Oral exam, aimed at determining knowledge of both pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, which are the fundamental elements for the correct use and design of a drug
Extended program
Introduction to pharmacology. Concept of drug and medication. Chemical and physical properties of drugs. Pharmacokinetics: the dynamic of drug absortion, distribution, metabolism and elimination. Routes of administration Pharmacodynamics - Molecular drug targets - Families of receptors and signaling pathways - Quantitation of drug-receptor interaction and effects, radioligand binding method, molecular characterization (ion channels, G-protein-coupled receptor, receptor protein kinases, intracellular receptors). - Transcription factors. - Agonist and antagonist ligands - Regulation of receptors - Pharmacogenomics and pharmacogenetics - Pharmacology of biotechnologic drugs
