Contents The course aims to provide students with knowledge of the main methods and technologies associated with biochemistry in the context of biotechnological research and in diagnostic and therapeutic applications. The course also includes a part of practical exercises on related topics (see (LABORATORIO PER LE BIOTECNOLOGIE BIOCHIMICHE PER SAGGI MOLECOLARI APPLICATI).
Reference texts Mauro Maccarrone Biochemical and biomolecular methodologies Ed. Zanichelli. Teaching material provided by the teacher.
Educational objectives At the end of the course the student will have acquired the basic theoretical knowledge of biochemical methods necessary to work effectively in a laboratory where relevant techniques are used.
Prerequisites Basic knowledge of organic chemistry and biochemistry is required
Teaching methods Frontal lectures. The course is organized to provide the theoretical contents that will then be addressed in the laboratory activities, which are described in the associated teaching (LABORATORY FOR BIOCHEMICAL BIOTHENOLOGIES FOR APPLIED MOLECULAR ASSAYS).
Other information For teaching activities (dates and times of lectures, classroom), please refer to website dcbb.unipg.it and the course page on Unistudium.
Learning verification modality Written exam. 30 multiple choice questions. For information on support services for students with disabilities and/or DSA visit the page http://www.unipg.it/disabilita-e-dsa
