Contents
The Sociology of Territory: Definition and Theories Thematic insights, also supported by specific seminars, will focus on topics of particular interest, including: territoriality and territorialization; culture and local identity; material and immaterial values; narration and promotion of the territory. Particular attention will be given to the processes involved in constructing the territorial image and the related narrative dynamics.

Educational objectives
Facilitate the development of a critical understanding of the territory as the result of a complex adaptive process, characterized by the dynamic and co-evolutionary relationship between communities and their environment. Emphasize the pivotal role of narration in shaping territorial development policies, and promote awareness of development as a fundamentally narrative and relational process.

The course is organized as follows: - Classroom lectures on the topics of the course - testimonials - lesson in tour - Research in depth individual and/or in group

Attendance is not mandatory but it is recommended
Learning verification modality
The exam includes an oral test and a project work realized independently or in groups (maximum two students) for attending students ONLY. The oral exam is a discussion lasting about 20 minutes which is intended to assess the level of knowledge and understanding achieved by students on the contents specified in the program.
