This ADE is unique in that it allows the student to deepen the basic basic techniques of animal tissue surgery. A large number of students will be given the opportunity to practice the different methods of Dieresi and Synthesis directly on anatomic preparations. There will be detailed information on surgical instruments to be used in soft tissue surgery. Guidelines will be provided on the main means of synthesis and suture wires. Each student will be able to directly perform numerous dissection procedures (using cold blades, electrophoresis, scissors, etc) and synthesis (with suture wires or mechanical sutures).

Educational objectives
At the end of the ADE, the student knows the basics of general surgery and how to perform the surgical procedures on the soft tissue most frequently required in professional practice; Is capable of conducting simple surgery as a first surgeon.
Prerequisites
In order to understand the topics in question, it is desirable that the student has achieved the appropriate knowledge in the field of Operative Medicine
Teaching methods
Lessons are just practical and are done at the facilities of the OVUD to allow the student to familiarize himself with the instruments and materials used in the surgery of the moles fabric and to teach, through manual exercises carried out in person, the earliest rudiments of the surgical maneuvers
Other information
The following topics will also be discussed: how to communicate effectively with customers, the public, professional colleagues and competent authorities; Prepare adequate and accurate clinical records for the evaluation of the condition of soft tissue pathology that include customer records, patient reporting, and clinical examination in detail and one or more lameness scales; In addition, the student will be educated on how to gather an accurate and relevant anamnesis of the individual animal. Practical information will be given on: how to manipulate and contain animal patients safely but respecting the dignity of the animal; Perform a full clinical examination and demonstrate decision-making capacity in the soft tissue surgery field; Understand the contribution that image diagnostics and other diagnostic techniques can provide to achieving an appropriate surgery planning. If necessary, guidance will be given on how to prepare reports for clinical cases in a satisfactory form for colleagues. The following topics will also be addressed: helping the student to understand and apply the principles of clinical management and to act according to the criteria of veterinary medicine based on evidence; Use their professional skills to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in veterinary anesthesia, in order to improve the quality of care of animals with soft tissue problems
Learning verification modality
There is no a traditional profit test, but there is an in-depth assessment (questions and interaction with students in the lesson) about the student's knowledge of basic principles for the treatment of chronic and acute pain and resolution Of the anesthesiological clinical case as a whole. The final judgment will be expressed with a candidate's "fitness".
Extended program
There will be ample opportunity for a selected number of students to practice the various methods of Dieresis and Synthesis directly on anatomic preparations.
The ADE is so subdivided:
4 hours 1st day: We will provide you with detailed information on surgical instruments to be used in soft tissue surgery.
4 hours 2nd day: Guidelines will be provided on the main synthesis and suture wires.
4 hours 3th, 4th and 5th day: Every student will be allowed to perform a number of dissection procedures (by cold blade, electrophoresis, scissors, etc) and synthesis (with suture wires or mechanical sutures).
