Contents Knowledge of the contents of the Civil Code (Books I, II, III, IV and VI of the Civil Code) with the exception of Book V.
Knowledge of the subject consumer affairs is expected that consumption in the code in special legislation.

- Regarding the consumer law, specific indications will be given during the course.
Educational objectives The expected result is to bring the student to know the system of Italian civil law under current regulations contained in the Civil Code and the special legislation.The knowledge gained will enable to understand other legal subjects provided in the study plan. All is coordinated with the teaching of Public Law in order to advance the student understand the system of the hierarchy of sources.At the end of the study, the student will be able to apply to specific cases the legal institutions that have been objects of the course of instruction and that are part of the curriculum.
Prerequisites About the prerequisites it is necessageneral knowledgery only ypical of students who have completed their studies satisfactorily.
Teaching methods The course consists of:- lessons in class on the most significant and complex arguments;- practical activities on specific case;- meetings during the lessons with visiting profesor and experts, with the hope that the student can be processed by the existing experiences in other jurisdictions, universities and agencies.
Learning verification modality The evaluation method will consist of an oral test aimed at ascertaining the level of knowledge and understanding reached by the student on the theoretical and methodological contents indicated in the program. The oral exam will also allow to verify the student's communication skills with language properties and autonomous organization of the exposition on the same theoretical topics.During the oral exam the student will be asked to apply by way of example to practical cases of the legal institutions that have been treated.
Extended program Exam candidates should know the books that comprise the Civil Code and are invited to attend the course leading to the following is the text of the Civil Code.
In particular, should know: first book, "Of the people and the family" (art. 1-455), Book Two, "Succession" (Articles 456-809), Book Three, "Of Property" (Articles 810 -1172), Fourth book, "Of the obligations" (articles 1173-2059); Sixth book, "On the protection of rights" (articles 2643-2969).
Students will also have to know the main protection tools that the law provides for consumers, paying attention to the most important innovations introduced in the main sectors of private law with particular regard to the regulation of contracts and civil liability. This also in light of the legislative intervention that has recomposed the legislation on this matter within the Consumer Code.

It 's always required a consultation of the civil code: A. Di Majo, Codice civile, Giuffrè, ultima edizione.
Educational objectives The main skills that students will acquire: a) knowledge of the fundamentals of private law; b) knowledge of the Civil Code.The main skills that allow students to apply the knowledge gained will be:a) understanding of the legal framework of the market economic system; b) solving important legal problems of private law in the light of the fundamental notions acquired.
Prerequisites In order to be able to understand and to know how to tackle the course, students must have the basic notions that they should have already acquired in their school curricula. It's important to know italian language.This precondition is valid both for attending and not attending students.
Teaching methods The course is organized as follows: lectures that will focus on the fundamentals of private law. Every year, in May, it will be carried out exercises on the most important topics of the course.
Learning verification modality The exam includes only the final oral test consisting of a discussion-interview on the topics discussed during the course and examined in-depth through recommended texts.The test aims at assuring the level of knowledge and understanding, as well as synthesis, achieved by the student. Moreover, this interview will verify that the student is able to communicate, with method, propriety of language and of exposure, what he has acquired. The duration of the test varies depending on the performance of the test itself.In April, during the teaching break, attending students will have access to a learning assessment which, if positive, will give relief to the first part of the course program. The exemption will vote with the average grade achieved in the subsequent second part of the exam.
