The insurance company: regulation and vicissitudes of the company; safeguard, reorganisation and liquidation measures.
Distribution and distributors of insurance products.
Controls on the insurance business, on insurance companies, on distributors. The supervisory function. EIOPA and IVASS. Tasks and functions.
The insurance contract.
Life and non-life insurance; supplementary pension schemes and the insurance management of pension funds.
Reinsurance.

Educational objectives
Learning outcomes:

1) Knowledge/knowledge: National regulatory framework and EU principles of the activity of insurance and reinsurance undertakings and distributors. Regulation of insurance contracts.

2) skills/knowledge: insurance compliance experts, analysis and application of industry regulations in insurance operations.


Prerequisites
In order to get the most out of class attendance and in any case prior to the beginning of the exam preparation, it is recommended to have successfully completed all mandatory propedeutic examinations and have adequate knowledge of the main elements of: Public Law, Private Law, Commercial Law.
Teaching methods
Face-to-face classes and lectures. (see information on the university website and on Unistudium for the conduct of classes during the health emergency period)

Possibility to organize (on a voluntary basis) seminars and student groups for the analysis and discussion (during ad hoc lectures) of specific subjects.

Learning verification modality
One oral exam.

The exam consists of a discussion of some of the course topics of about 15-20 minutes and is aimed at verifying the knowledge of the matter and the ability to analyze, explain and applying the concepts studied.
