- The course examines the EU legal system, its sources, its institutions, the competences of the European Court of Justice, the incorporation of EU law into domestic law. The last parts tackles the free movement of goods and persons and the Economic and Monetary Union.

Ciascun studente dovrà approfondire due sentenze/pareri a sua scelta fra quelli caricati su unistudium fra i materiali didattici online. - Acquisition of knowledge of the EU legal system, its sources and its institutions, with special regard to the European Court of Justice and its competences in the protection of rights.
- Prerequisites
- In order to be able to understand and to know how to tackle the course, it is advisable to have the basic notions of Constitutional and International Law.

- Students are invited to attend the last two classes, dedicated to the review of the judgments included in the programme.
- Learning verification modality
- The exam consists in an oral test, i.e. an interview about the topics included in the programme (lasting approximately 15 minutes), aiming to ascertain the knowledge level and the understanding capability acquired by the student on the topics included in the programme. Attending students, if so desire, can make a speech or write a report (for Erasmus students possibly dealing with the application of EU law in their country of origin), which will be taken into consideration in the final evaluation.
