- The course is divided into two modules: the first is the institutional part (1492-1815) with critical lectures of Modern History documents. The second Module regards the historical sources of Early modern history

- For the first part: a universitary early modern history texbook. Suggested: Aurelio Musi, Un vivaio di storia. L'Europa nel mondo moderno, Biblion edizioni 2020 or Vittorio Criscuolo, Storia moderna, Pearson 2019. For the second part: M. Soresina, L'età della Restaurazione, Mimesis Edizioni, 2016
- Educational objectives
- Knowledge of key events of Modern History. A first acquaintance with the early modern sources (production, preservation, historical uses).
- Prerequisites
- It’s important to have taken at least the exam of Medieval History to understand the issues of teaching and the ways of the chronological development.
- Teaching methods
- Frontal lessons with the help fo ppt, critical examination of various historical sources

- Partial written test during the course (if the course won't be on line)
