Educational objectives
At the end of the course, students will have gained some basic knowledge of chemistry related to:
Atomic structure, thermodynamic principles, aggregation states, physical equilibria, laws of chemical equilibrium, acid / base reactions, redox reactions.
Prerequisites
The only prerequisites required are the basic notions of physics and mathematics given in higher education courses.
Teaching methods
Lectures followed by numerical exercises.
Other information
Optional but strongly recommended frequency
Learning verification modality
The exam consists of a written test with numerical applications related to the topics in the course. In case of a successful outcome (higher than or equal to 18/30) of the written test, it follows an oral interview in which the student's level of knowledge of the subject will be verified.
