- Freedom of research and ethical limitations
- Science, Technology and Law
- Fundamental rights and ethical issues
- Normative techniques: supranational, national and international law; autonomous regulations of the professional categories; Ethics committees; etc.
- General principles: dignity; autonomy and anticipated directives; solidarity; respect of vulnerable peoples.
- Bioethics rules concerning specific fields: therapeutic treatments; procreation techniques; gathering and treatment of genetic information; biotechnology; research on cells, tissues and human embryos; security and double use technologies; research on animals.
