Educational objectives
The main objective of this course is to provide students with:

- the theoretical basis to acquire the knowledge of the genetic and epigenetic mechanisms underlying human diseases, in particular those of the blood

- the practical basis to leverage the knowledge of such mecahnisms for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes
Prerequisites
A solid knowledge of the following subjects is required:

Genetics
Immunology
Molecular biology
General biology with elements of cytology and histology
Principles of anatomy and general physiology
Biochemistry
Farmacology
Basic bioinformatics and systems biology
Teaching methods
Theoretical and practical lessons

Learning verification modality
Single, multiple-choice written exam (31 questions; 2-hour duration; no penalization for wrong answers), which may be followed by an oral exam at the discretion of the student if obtaining a vote equal to or greater than 28/30 at the written exam.
