- Nursing care for the person with respiratory diseases
•Nursing plans for the person with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma;
•Execution of the most common diagnostic procedures: sputum examination, arterial blood gases analysis, pulse oximetry, measurement of lung volumes;
•Nursing practice of the most common therapeutic procedures: oxygen therapy, long term oxygen therapy, bronchodilator therapy;
•Recognize respiratory airway obstruction due to mucosal secretions;
•Respiratory rehabilitation.
Nursing care for the person with neoplastic disease
•Nursing in oncologic field;
•Execution of the most important diagnostic procedures in the oncologic field;
•Nursing care for the person undergoing chemotherapy: storage, preparation and administering of drugs, prevention and treatment of venous extravasation, treatment of side effects, safety when handling the drugs;
•Management of both peripheral and central venous catheters (external and totally implantable).
Nursing care for the person with cardiovascular disease
•Standard electrocardiogram and stress test: meaning and procedure;
•Ischemic heart disease: prevention and health education;
•Angina pectoris: history and nursing care plan;

•Nursing care for the person with Deep Vein Thrombosis.

- The course is organized into lectures aimed at treating the main pathologies with which nursing staff can have contact during internships and especially in the workplace, once the training cycle is completed. During lectures, the most frequently encountered pathologies in the internist department are addressed interactively in order to improve the knowledge of these pathologies by learners. In particular, the pathologies of the cardiovascular, respiratory and renal systems will be treated

Clinical approach to the patient: anamnesis, physical examination, laboratory tests, instrumental examinations. Cardiovascular semeiotics. Ischemic heart disease: angina pectoris, myocardial infarction with and without S-T elevation. Heart failure. Rheumatic fever. Bacterial endocarditis. Pericarditis.
