Educational objectives | Define the main stages of growth and cognitive-relational development of the child. Define and identify the neonate with weight and / or gestational age abnormalities. Know and identify the principles for a positive relationship with the child and parents. Knowing how to plan and carry out preventive, curative and rehabilitative interventions in relation to the most complex care problems encountered in pediatric age with particular reference to: type I diabetes mellitus, ketoacidosis and hypoglycemia / hyperglycemia, insulin therapy, diet and physical activity; thermoregulation, fever and convulsions; gastroenteritis; pneumonia, bronchiolitis and bronchial asthma; pain prevention and treatment; Define the main nursing implications for the administration of therapy in pediatric age. Know the essentials of triage and pediatric emergencies. |

Teaching methods | Frontal, interactive lesson and discussion of the topics covered. Clinical case discussion. |
