- The upper and lower limbs. Stroke. Back pain and the spinal column. Physiotherapy treatment for various conditions.

- Course material supplied by the English language teacher.
- Educational objectives
- Students should be able to read and understand texts in English regarding subjects which are pertinent to physiotherapy. They should also be able to describe in English a patient’s condition and case history/study, as well as indicating the exercises that the patient should do.

- Face to face lessons and/or on TEAMS. Pair-work and group activity.

- 24 hours of face-to-face lessons (divided into 8 three-hour sessions) 2 credits.
-The hand and the wrist, including injuries and hand strengthening exercises.
-The arm, elbow and shoulder, including pain causes and treatment.
-The foot, ankle, knee and leg: pain, examination and injuries.
-Ischaemic and haemorrhagic stroke – explaining the effects of a stroke to a patient and his/her relatives.
- Back pain: causes, types and exercises to relieve back pain.
-The spinal column.
- Articles on how physiotherapy helps patients suffering from cancer, multiple sclerosis, cardiovascular disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic pain, incontinence, Parkinson’s disease and stroke.
