- D1 - KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING The student must know: cardiac and pulmonary function, prestomacal activity in ruminants, female reproductive system functionality. Difference between registry office, registry data and Genealogical Book of farm animals and horse. Knowledge of the physical and chemical parameters useful for the evaluation of fodder (grass and hay); knowledge of the system used for BCS estimation. Acquire knowledge on the main parasitic agents and on the methods of transmission in relation to the breeding: ovi-goat, bovine, pig, equine. Hygienic-sanitary and microbiological aspects related to intensive farming of: sheep and goats, cattle, pigs.
D2 - APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING At the end of the training activity, the student must know how to make blood samples, take the arterial pulse, survey the respiratory rate, and the body temperature. Morpho-functional signaling and evaluation of livestock and horses. Evaluation of the quality of a forage (grass and hay), assessment of BCS on sheep, beef cattle, pigs and horses. Complete breeding chart, collection and storage of biological material for parasitological investigations. Sampling of samples to be sent to the laboratory for microbiological investigations.
D3 - MAKING JUDGMENT At the end of the training activity, the student must be able to evaluate, at basic levels, indicators of the state of health and welfare of the productive animals. Evaluate the correct management of stables registers and activities related to the zootechnical register
D4 - COMMUNICATION At the end of the training activity, the student must be able to support an adversarial procedure with people of equal preparation as well as experts on different issues, of a regulatory, scientific, procedural and / or technological nature on activities related to the management of a breeding
D5 - LIFELONG LEARNING SKILLS At the end of the training activity, the student must be able to: - consult and understand scientific texts, even innovative ones, bibliographic updates, normative dictations, in such a way as to employ them in contexts not only usual for the profession, including the research, but also the originals, - possess a sufficiently broad mastery of the subject to guarantee an acceptable basis for continuing professional updating throughout life, through ongoing lifelong learn - Prerequisites
- Green Week basic. Frequency of lectures of: physiology, animal husbandry, nutrition, parasitology and microbiology.

Physiology; knoledge of cardiac and pulmonary function, prestomachal activities in ruminants, features of female reproductive system.

Tuesday,
Animal husbandry; knowledge: morphological characteristics of the different species, identification of individuals.
Be able to do: morphological evaluation of individuals, horse signaling. (5 hours)
Wednesday,
Nutrition; knowledge: evaluation of the nutritional needs of the different species in relation to age, sex and functional status (pregnancy, lactation, dry etc.).
Be able to: evaluate food rations, food assessment, rumen juice analysis, BCS. (5 hours)
Thursday,
Parasitology; knowledge: the main parasitic agents and parasitological aspects relating to 'livestock: sheep and goats, cattle, pigs, equine.
Be able to: compiling breeding card, withdrawal biological material for parasitological analisis. (5 hours)
Friday,
Microbiology; knowledge: hygienic and microbiological evaluation of intensive farming of: sheep, goats, cattle, pigs.
Be able to: take biological samples to be sent to the laboratory for microbiological investigations. (5 hours)
