A multifaceted intellectual figure, Chico Buarque ranges from music, theater, to narrative with a sharp and critical outlook aimed at Brazilian society. In every area he deals with, the author combines the accuracy of the language, in which poetry and music go hand in hand, meaningful themes and precise reflections in which the contradictions of his country come to surface.
