Students will be provided with further references and materials during the course.
Educational objectives
The acquisition of theoretical and critical methods to carry out translation from German into Italian.
Prerequisites
Three exams of German Language during the BA degree.
B1 Language Level (QCER)
Teaching methods
Lectures will be held and integrated with power point presentations;
translation seminaries;
translations will be also assigned during the course and handed in by students on the platform Unistudium.
Other information
Attendance is highly recommended.
For not-attending students the definitive program is the same and will be available on Unistudium by the end of the course.
Learning verification modality
The acquisition of the competences will be assessed by means of an oral exam, which will cover the main topics of the course from both a methodological and practical point of view. Handing in the translations assigned on the platform Unistudium is a fundamental requirement in order to take the exam. Extended program
Both modules will address the historical, critical, and methodological aspects of translation studies, with a focus on German-Italian translation. Among the topics taken into consideration will be literature, tourism, current affairs and dubbing.
