2. Origin and evolution of the prison: from Beccaria to Foucault, etc.
3. Sociology of prison: prison functions, places and subjects, penitentiary and criminal policies, sociological research of and in prison, recidivism, the relationship between prison and democracy, fear of prison and fear of leaving prison.
