Specific admission requirements
- Formal Requirements certificate of completion of italian upper secondary school or equivalent foreign qualification
Evaluation of specific subject knowledge on entry
Verification of the knowledge required for the attendance of the course of study through a compulsory evaluation test of indicative and non-selective nature; if the test is not passed, the student will be given additional educational obligations and will be granted with: • alignment courses, • tutoring, • online alignment courses, • study of additional texts indicated by the course of study. For planned access courses, the admission test is also valid as a test of initial knowledge and additional educational obligations acquisition. Foreign students are required to take a test to verify their proficiency of the Italian language, except Erasmus Incoming students, Exchange Students and students in mobility as per the Cooperation Agreement
Profile of the programme
The Degree Course is structured in 6 Years . Based on the didactic regulation, the training activities are divided into Integrated Courses divided into modules and Internship Teachings. The professionalising training activities, released from the integrated courses, allow students, from the second year of the course, to be trained in the department, acquiring specific skills in the dental field. The Degree Course Council is the deliberative body of the Degree Course and is represented by the President. The didactic center of the Degree Course is at the Sant'Andrea delle Fratte didactic center (Perugia) (information available at http://www.clmopd.unipg.it). Professionalising Traineeships are assessed with Eligibility at the end of the Academic Year for the first 5 years while, in the sixth year of the course, the student takes a practical test assessed with marks. At the end of the course of study, the student of the course acquires the cultural and professionalizing skills for the activity of dentist both public and private. It is also trained in scientific research carried out in the laboratories of the basic disciplines.
Programme learning outcomes
The Master's degree in Dentistry must possess a level of professional, cultural, decision-making and operational autonomy such as to allow it to be constantly updated, having followed a training course characterized by a systemic approach to the oral health problems of the healthy or ill person, including in relation to the physical and social environment that surrounds it. The Master's Degree must possess diagnostic and treatment skills in the specialist branches of dentistry and a complete knowledge of the pathologies of the stomatognathic system in the light of the most recent international scientific litera
Qualification requirements and regulations
To take the final test to obtain the qualification, you must have acquired all the credits in the training activities provided for in the study plan. For the achievement of the master's degree, the presentation of a thesis prepared in an original way by the student under the guidance of a supervisor, also drawn up in a previously agreed foreign language. The thesis is divided into experimental and compilation with an activity period of 2 and 1 year respectively. The overall mark is determined by the sum of the scores provided by different items as required by the Course Regulations
Examination regulations and grading scale
The assessment is carried out by means of an oral or written exam with any other assessment elements provided for by the individual courses. The evaluation is expressed in thirtieths (0-30 scale) with a minimum of 18/30 and a maximum of 30/30. Honors (30 cum laude) can be added to the maximum mark in case of excellent quality of the exam. The exam sessions are held in the months of January / February, March / April, June / July, September / October. The evaluation of the final qualification is expressed in hundred and tenths (scale 0-110), the minimum grade is 66/110 and the maximum mark is 110/110. The calculation of the final grade of each candidate takes into account the average of the marks obtained in the exams, the quality of the research work or the final paper discussed before a commission. "Honors" (110 cum laude) can be added to the maximum mark if decided unanimously by the Commission.

Work-based learning
According to the Regulations of the Course, the Internships represent autonomous Teachings through which the student, already starting from the second year of the course, can acquire the professionalizing skills, both in the field of basic disciplines and in the specialized ones. at the University Dentistry Center and at various territorial structures belonging to the multidisciplinary project proposed by some ani. During the internship activities the students of the different years of the course are united in order to favor the diffusion of skills in the different levels. The traineeships provide for an assessment of suitability for the first five years of the course and an exam with marks in the sixth year
Occupational profiles of graduates
Graduates will be able to fit into different working contexts. The dentist's activity is mostly used for private work, independently. Graduates can, after obtaining the title of School of Specialization, carry out the profession in the public sphere. The research activity, encouraged in the Perugia office, could represent a valid working path.
