Oberti, G. "Corso di Tecnica delle Costruzioni, Parte C, Levrotto e Bella. Doebelin, E. O.: "Measurement Systems: Application and Design". - Educational objectives
- Acquire the ability to carry out tests on existing structures and to evaluate the obtained results.
- Prerequisites
- Knowledge of materials and structural mechanics.
- Teaching methods
- Face to face training
- Other information
- Basic knowledge on structural dynamics, even if they are not mandatory, ma easier the study of the subject.
- Learning verification modality
- The exam is composed of an oral eamination.
It consists of a discussion around 30 minutes long aimed at verifying the level of knowledge of the theoretical- methodological contents of the course with special reference to the design of experimental tests on structures and to the interpretation of the obtained results. - Extended program
- Fundamentals of measurement, dimensional analysis, error theory, metrologic characteristics of measuring instruments, random errors, dynamic behaviour of instruments, instruments for measuring displacements , velocity and acceleration. Tests on scale models.
