Ultrasonic Nondestructive Evaluation Systems: Industrial Application Issues, Editors: Burrascano, P., Callegari, S., Montisci, A., Ricci, M., Versaci, M. (Eds.), SPRINGER
Educational objectives The module "CIRCUITS APPLICATION FOR SYSTEM AND PROCESS MODELING" of the course "CIRCUITS FOR SYSTEM AND PROCESS MODELING" provides the basic elements for applying the signal processing tools necessary for the control of industrial processes and products.
The main knowledge acquired will be related to the application of the technique for:
-Frequency and time domains representation of signals
-Frequency and time characterisation of linear signal processing via analogue or digital circuits;
-synthesis of elementary circuits

The main skills will be:
-to represent a signal in the time domain or in the frequency domain
-to know how to characterize in the time domain or in the frequency domain the transit of a signal through a circuit for its elaboration
-to know how to synthesize an elementary signal processing circuit for Industrial Process Control
Prerequisites Fundamentals of the theory of linear analog and stationary circuits.

Understanding the basic rules for the study of these circuits in time and frequency domains, and their energetic aspects.
Teaching methods Lectures, classroom exercises and laboratory (once the pandemic crisis is over)
Other information Attending lessons is highly recommended
Learning verification modality Oral examination.
The test consists of questions related to the implementation of theoretical aspects related to the issues addressed in individual lessons and, to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding on the part of the student, as well as the ability to describe its contents.

The approximate duration of the test is 20 -30 min.
(once the pandemic crisis is over)

Extended program The basic knowledge acquired in the course of "CIRCUITS FOR MODELLING SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES" will be implemented in practice in three laboratory experiences:I experience: circuits and waveformsII experience: impulse response and transfer functionIII experience: correspondence between FIR filter and analogue filter
