Educational objectives At the end of the course, students will have to: 1) know (know) the mechanism of action, pharmacokinetics, side effects, toxicological aspects and contraindications of the drugs in the program. Students will also need to know about adverse drug reactions and their treatment; 2) Students will have to critically apply the acquired knowledge to their work (knowing how to do) and will have to reach the ability to monitor the pharmacological treatment, the psycho-physical well-being of the patient (knowing how to be).

The development of self-handling skills: education in the autonomous management of prescribed drugs: compliance, therapeutic adherence and ineffective adhesion to the therapeutic regime.

Acquisition of the ability to identify the most appropriate methods of intervention for the patient's care needs, consistently with scientific evidence and through an integrated approach with other healthcare professionals, in the perspective of a treatment path that combines different skills and professionalism.

Physiogenesis of the main symptoms and objective signs: alterations in body temperature, dyspnea, cyanosis, cough, expectoration, chest pain, edema, ascites, jaundice, alterations in the state of consciousness, disorders of diuresis and urination, hemoptysis, hemophtous, hematemesis, melaena, anorexia, dysphagia, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, constipation, diarrhea, abdominal pain.
Indications and interpretation of the main blood tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
The ECG fundamentals.
