- Basics on the gamic and agamic reproduction of plant species of agricultural and ornamental interest. Definition of in vitro culture. In vitro regeneration methods and their application.
Morphological, physiological and biochemical bases of in vitro morphogenesis. Cellular totipotency. Phases of micropropagation and specificity of substrates and their components with reference to the individual species to be cultivated: substrates of stabilization, proliferation, rooting and acclimatization.
In vitro culture laboratory: characteristics and organization. Main equipment. Teacher will evaluate the possibility of practical activities in a laboratory. - Reference texts
