- Acquisition of elementary manual ability to the management of domestic animals housed referred to biological sampling, food choice and identification of individuals.

- Acquisition of basic knowledge concerning the management of livestock in confinement with regard to feeding, breeding and monitoring of the health status of individuals.
- Prerequisites
- Green Week basic. Frequency of lectures of: physiology, animal husbandry, nutrition, parasitology and microbiology.
- Teaching methods
- Practical activities. It 'strongly stimulated the interaction student - teacher / tutor to clarify animal practical management and execution of precedures to disclose vital signs and taking of biological material.

- Monday,
Physiology; knoledge of cardiac and pulmonary function, prestomachal activities in ruminants, features of female reproductive system.
Knowing how to do blood sampling, checking of the arterial pulse, relief of respiratory rate, body temperature, monitoring of rumination, any relief of heats. (5 hours)
Tuesday,
Animal husbandry; knowledge: morphological characteristics of the different species, identification of individuals.
Be able to do: morphological evaluation of individuals, horse signaling. (5 hours)
Wednesday,
Nutrition; knowledge: evaluation of the nutritional needs of the different species in relation to age, sex and functional status (pregnancy, lactation, dry etc.).
Be able to: evaluate food rations, food assessment, rumen juice analysis, BCS. (5 hours)
Thursday,
Parasitology; knowledge: the main parasitic agents and parasitological aspects relating to 'livestock: sheep and goats, cattle, pigs, equine.
Be able to: compiling breeding card, withdrawal biological material for parasitological analisis. (5 hours)
Friday,
Microbiology; knowledge: hygienic and microbiological evaluation of intensive farming of: sheep, goats, cattle, pigs.
Be able to: take biological samples to be sent to the laboratory for microbiological investigations. (5 hours)
