Knowledge of haematology and laboratory diagnostics with reference to the functionality of different organs. Principles of transfusion medicine of dog and cat. During the course the students, organized in groups, have to discuss about clinical haematological cases and then expose them to promote the confrontation with other students. - Reference texts

- FORMATIVE OBJECTIVES
The course stand for the connection between the information acquired during the course of “Laboratory Diagnostics and Comparative Clinical Hematology” and their functional, clinical and prognostic meaning. To know.
The student must be able to identify the investigations that have to be performed, the mode of execution and interpretation of the results. Furthermore students have to know how to approach to the diagnosis. Know-how

-prepare biological samples for the execution of the most appropriate investigations of the case
-stamp and store the samples
- use laboratory equipment
- relate the laboratory data to the clinical case
