- The most important compressive diseases of the spinal cord and of the brain and the most important decompressive surgical techniques are illustrated.¿PROGRAMAnatomic and physiologic remembrances. Intervertebral disk diseases. Neoplastic diseases. Surgical techniques of spinal cord decompression. Cervical, thoracolumbar and lumbo-sacral diseases. Vertebral fractures and luxations. Surgical techniques of vertebral stabilization. Diagnostic techniques, myelography and TC. Craniotomy. Collection of cerebrospinal fluid.

- D1 - KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING¿The student must¿-to acquire the necessary knowledge to recognize the symptoms of the main neurological pathologies of surgical interest.¿D2 - ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING¿At the end of the training, the student must:¿-know how to perform the neurological examination and the examination of the sense organs¿-know how to apply the main decompression techniques.¿D3 - AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT¿At the end of the training, the student must be able to:¿- to evaluate the presence of pathologies of surgical interest¿- evaluate the opportunity to intervene surgically.¿D4 - COMMUNICATION SKILLS¿At the end of the training, the student must be able to:¿- knowing how to organize, prepare and present a presentation on a clinical case of neurosurgical interest to an audience made up of people of the same level of preparation. with their own assessments supported by appropriate arguments,¿
