Educational objectives
D1 KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
The Student must know:
direct clinical methodologies (inspection, palpation, percussion and auscultation) and their use in the various systems of large animals.

D2 ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING
The Student must:
be able to use clinical methodologies (inspection, palpation, percussion and auscultation) for the clinical examination of a large animal.

D3 - AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT
At the end of the training activity, the student must be able to independently interpret the clinical findings deriving from the application of the methodologies.

D4 - COMMUNICATION SKILLS
At the end of the training activity, the Student must:
- know how to communicate the results of his evaluations to colleagues and owners / keepers of the animals.

D5 - LEARNING SKILLS
At the end of the training activity, the Student must:
- have the ability to expand his knowledge through the critical reading of scientific publications.
- establish a permanent training path to follow in order to continue to increase his cultural background
Teaching methods
The course includes lectures and practical classes. During the lectures are studied the application of clinical methodologies to large animals. The practical lessons are used to acquire capacity to use clinical methologies on large animals.
Extended program
1. Presentation of the course (educational path, training objectives, exemption methods, textbooks, logistic organization, frequency signatures, teaching evaluation).
2. General information on methodologies.
3. Inspection.
4. How to choose a phonendoscope.
5. Palpation.
6. Percussion.
7. Auscultation.

Practice The methods will be applied to large animals at the OVUD or livestock farms in the area.
