Educational objectives
The course aims to offer a theoretical-practical training course in the endocrinology and reproduction of camelids, in particular in llamas and alpacas.

D1 - KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
The student must acquire a theoretical - practical knowledge of the operational reality concerning the endocrinology and reproduction of llamas / alpacas and camelids in general. In detail:
1-Neuroendocrine Control of Reproduction
2-Anatomy and Reproductive physiology of the female llama and alpaca
3-Ovulation Mechanism of Induced ovulatory species
4-Anatomy and Reproductive physiology of the male llama and alpaca
5-Reproductive examination of the female and male reproductive tract using transrectal ultrasonography
6-Clinical examination of the male and female
7-Problems of female Fertility
8-Problems of male Fertility
9-Pregnancy diagnose and loss
10-Parturition
11-Lactation and neonatal care
12-Assisted Reproductive techniques

D2 - ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING At the end of the training, the student must be able to carry out an assessment of the endocrinology and reproduction of llamas / alpacas and camelids in general.

D3 - JUDGING AUTONOMY At the end of the training activity, the student must be able to evaluate and make judgments on endocrinology and reproduction of llamas / alpacas and camelids in general.

D4 - COMMUNICATION SKILLS At the end of the training activity the student must be able to support a cross-examination with people both of equal preparation and experts in different topics, of a scientific, procedural nature on activities related to endocrinology and reproduction of llamas / alpacas and of camelids in general.

D5 - LEARNING SKILLS At the end of the training activity, the student must be able to consult and understand scientific texts, bibliographic updates relating to endocrinology and the reproduction of llamas / alpacas and camelids in general. The student will have to use them in contexts that are not only usual for the profession, including research, but also applications for the camelid sector and know how to relate to people of different roles and professionalism who orbit around the endocrinology and reproduction of these animal species.
