- Verification of the knowledge required for the attendance of the course of study through a compulsory evaluation test of indicative and non-selective nature; if the test is not passed, the student will be given additional educational obligations and will be granted with: • alignment courses • tutoring Foreign students are required to take a test to verify their proficiency of the Italian language, except Erasmus Incoming students, Exchange Students and students in mobility as per the Cooperation Agreement.
- Profile of the programme
- The Master Degree in Pharmacy is ruled by a European Directive (2013/55/CE) that aims to prepare pharmacists. For this purpose, students will learn about natural, synthetic or biotechnological drugs, about their metabolism, biological effects, about their active principles and their physical, chemical, biological and microbiological controls and about pharmaceutical technology. Furthermore, students will learn about toxicology and regulatory aspects of drugs.
- Programme learning outcomes
- Graduates of the Programme will be able to demonstrate multidisciplinary knowledges about structure and biological activity, preparation and quality control of drugs as well as national and European pharmaceutical legislation. This will allow graduated students to acquire informations and interpret the data being able to make decisions for themselves and give the right advices and recommendations about health.
- Qualification requirements and regulations
- Admission to the final test for the achievement of the qualification will require that the student has acquired all the credits foreseen in the study plan for training activities other than the final test. The final test for the achievement of the qualification consists of the presentation of a thesis work (written in Italian or English) concerning: -a critical literature survey about professional and cultural topics of interest for the course programme or – an experimental work done in research labs (universities, national or foreign, public or private companies and institutions with an agreement
- Examination regulations and grading scale
- Assessment is normally an oral or written exam; the grades for subject exams are measured in thirtieths: the minimum grade is 18/30 and the maximum grade is 30/30. The maximum grade can be enhanced with “cum laude”, in case of excellence. The final degree evaluation is expressed in one hundred and tenths, the minimum grade is 66/110 and the maximum grade is 110/110. “Cum laude” may be added to the maximum grade. The final grade takes into account the overall curriculum, as well as the quality of the final thesis The University provides an ECTS Grading Table, which shows the actual distribution of the examination and final grades among students for each degree programme.
- Obligatory or optional mobility windows
- The credits acquired by the student during a period of study abroad or during a virtual mobility are fully used for the achievement of the qualification pursued, without any further activity or learning verification for the student
- Work-based learning
- Sono previsti: -Tirocinio professionale (6 mesi in una farmacia territoriale o, non più di 3 mesi, in una farmacia ospedaliera o all’estero) -Tirocinio formativo (1 CFU) (in strutture di ricerca e/o produzione in campo farmaceutico, pubbliche o private, e in laboratori galenici).
- Occupational profiles of graduates
- The main occupational profile of graduates is as pharmacist. Graduates are able to work in various working context such as pharmaceutical informant, chemists and researchers in chemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry. Furthermore, they can teach in high school.
