- The exam of Pharmacotherapy and Biodrugs includes a single oral exam consisting in a discussion lasting about 20 minutes aimed at ascertaining the level of knowledge and understanding achieved by the students on the theoretical and methodological implications listed in the program. The oral test will also verify the acquisition by the student of an appropriate language and communication skills and self-organization of the exposure on the topics.

- General principles of pharmacotherapy. Antiinflammatory therapy: NSAIDs. FAS. Drugs for disorders of the respiratory system. Rheumatoid arthritis therapy. Pharmacology of diabetes mellitus. General information on the neurotransmission of the peripheral nervous system. Pharmacology of the cardiovascular system. Treatment of congestive heart failure and angina pectoris. Anti-hypertensive drugs. Diuretics. Peptic ulcer therapy. Pain pharmacology and main classes of analgesic drugs. General information on the neurotransmission of the central nervous system. Pharmacotherapy of affective disorders (depression and anxiety). Schizophrenia therapy. Pharmacological therapy of Alzheimer's and Parkinson’s disease.
CHEMOTHERAPY: Antibacterial, antiviral and antineoplastic chemotherapy: general principles and main group of drugs. Vaccines.
