- The course will analyze some of the of clashes as well as the material and cultural exchanges between the three monotheistic religions, in the Mediterranean area during the Early Modern Age.

- The course aims to provide students with an analytical and critical method of study to understand social and political aspects of religious phenomena; it will provide them with tools for a better understanding of the contemporary world.
- Prerequisites
- 1. Excellent knowledge of the Italian language
2. Knoeledge of historical periodization, with particular reference to Early Modern Age

- In this academic year, the point of view chosen to analyze the history of interreligious relations in the Mediterranean is that of slavery. The topics of the course are: Mediterranean history from 1453 to the Napoleonic age; quantitative and geographical data of the phenomenon; slavery and religious conversion.
