- The international students are invited to attend the lectures. References are available in English. The examination for foreign students could be in English language.
- Contents
- The course of Economics is divided into two major branches of microeconomics and macroeconomics allowing to acquire 9 credits. The main topics of the lectures are: theory of demand, production and costs, some forms of market, game theory, the general equilibrium, balance and functions macroeconomic models of economic growth, the role of the public sector, inflation and unemployment, macroeconomic stabilization policies. In the second part of the course, we introduce into some methodological problems of public intervention in developed economies.

- Educational objectives
- It is expected that students of Economics course interpret the mechanisms underlying the economic system, giving solution to problems affecting forms of competitive markets. In addition, he/she should know the main monetary and fiscal policies implemented by the corresponding institutions (central bank and government).
- Prerequisites
- There are no specific prerequisites to attend Economics. However, it requires a basic knowledge of mathematics.
- Teaching methods
- The course is conducted through lectures and tutorials are given during the course period regularly.
- Learning verification modality
- The exam is in written form (two written tests in class: intermediate and final), and eventually the oral exam, which consists of short questions on the main themes.
