Contents
Despite its brevity, the course takes on various needs: (a) to provide the student and therefore the teacher with basic knowledge relating to the legal system and the state order; (b) illustrate in its essential features the rules of functioning and organization of public administrations and within these of the institutions of the public education system; (c) provide keys for a constitutionally oriented reading of the functioning of the institutions in the democratic state.
Reference texts
For attending students, study materials and texts will be shared during the first lessons.and in particular "lessons" will be provided which will constitute the main study material, to be integrated with the study (chapters II, III, IV, V) /reading (chapters I, VI VII) of E. Carloni, The transparency paradigm, Bologna, Il Mulino, 2022. For non-attending students, the study of a selection of chapters of an administrative law manual is required, and in particular chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 and 25 of the manual by F. Merloni, Introduzione al diritto amministrativo , Turin, Giappichelli (last ed.)
Educational objectives
The course intends to provide the student with useful skills to understand the functioning of the legal system in its essential features and of the administrative system and therefore to place the institutions of the public education system in this context. At the same time, the course intends to provide the future teacher with useful skills to read and interpret with a critical sense and in the spirit of the Constitution the transformations to which the administrative system is constantly subjected.

Learning verification modality
Oral exam, with interview (with more questions, related to different parts of the program). For attending students there is a written exemption test (the date will be agreed in class, generally in the last part of the semester of lessons): the test will consist of a series of closed-ended quizzes and a part with open questions.
