Educational objectives | Know the basic concepts of: Health, Health Promotion, Health Education, Primary Health Care, Salutogenesis, Prevention. Participation. Empowerment, Community, Evaluation Problematize participation and empowerment in different contexts Problematize evaluation methods and models Get in touch with the tools that allow you to reason from the point of view of complexity Rereading life experiences in the light of the concepts of health promotion and Salutogenesis Recognizing Health as a complex object that does not end with the field of biomedicine, but is defined through the interactions between the individual, society and the environment. Recognize the limits of the biomedical paradigm in promoting and protecting the health of individuals and communities, locally and globally Know the theoretical approach of social determinants and their impact on local and global health and disease processes Recognize the proximal and distal determinants of a disease. Analyze the problems of health and disease, of individuals and populations, through the approach of social determinants. Know the concept of inequality and inequalities in health and the economic, cultural and social mechanisms that have generated and reproduce them. Analyze the health conditions of individuals and populations from the perspective of inequalities. Know the genesis, extent and distribution of health inequalities between and within countries. Analyze the work of doctors and nurses, the performance of health services and socio-health policies with respect to their effects on generating or contrasting inequalities. Assess your own role and performance in reducing health inequalities Know the difference between prevention and health promotion Have a self-reflexive attitude and be open to critically rethinking one's positions and behaviours.
